I was moved at the end of movie City Lights when seeing Charles Chaplin's hands were hold by the girl selling flowers.

This is really a good movie without any human voice.

Charles Chaplin falls in love with the girl who is blind and poor. It's very hard for her to support her life with grandma by selling baskets of flowers. Charles intends to help her to pay the rent and offer some money to cure her eyes. He even go to boxing in order to earn some "easy money". But how can small Charles win a boxing fight? He was beaten punch-drunk but he tried to win the fight for the $50. The fighting scene seems to be funny, but we can see that for the girl Charles can do everything.

The millionaire take Charles as his best friend when he is drunk. But when he is awake he don't who he is and send Charles out. Finally Charles was sent to jail for the money the millinaire gave to him, because the cops think that he has robbed the millionaire. Luckily the girl gets the money and her beatiful eyes are cured. She and her grandma manage a flower store and seem to live a good life. She wishes the man will come back every minute although she hasn't even seen him. When she holds Charles's hand she finally recognize that this is the man who has helped her, tears run down both of their eyes and the movie come to the end.

We can image that Charles and the girl will start a happy life together. That's sweet!
